As I’ve stated elsewhere on the interwebs, Barack Obama is neither a Democrat nor actually committed to (what used to be) the Democratic Party’s ideals; the only reason he joined the party is because it was the fastest road to personal power for an aspiring African American politician in Chicago. The latest proof:
I’m Barack Obama. I hope you’ll read my economic plan. I approved this message because bitter, partisan fights and outworn ideas of the Left and the Right won’t solve the problems we face today. But a new spirit of unity and shared responsibility will.
“[B]itter, partisan fights?” Are you fucking kidding me? If there had been actual partisan fighting and the Democratic Party stuck to its guns during such fights instead of performing an endless series of roll-overs for Reagan, Bush, and Bush, America would be in much better shape.
“[O]utworn ideas of the Left?” Like what? The New Deal? Or maybe Social Security? Or does the asshole mean the idea that Ronald Reagan shouldn’t be held up as a good example, given the disaster of the “trickle-down economics” model Reagan touted?
Barack Obama isn’t running as a Democrat, he’s running from Democrats; any Democrat that can’t see that is an idiot.
