John McCain is so full of shit regarding his statements about the capital gains tax that his eyes are brown. Via Avedon, I see Atrios has already debunked McCain’s trash talk; pity the Establishment Media won’t also point out that McCain isn’t being a straight shooter. Although to give McCain some credit, he was pretty honest and accurate when Meredith Viera recently asked him if Americans “are better off, by any means, than we were eight years ago.” McCain promptly responded, “Oh, no. No.”
Further, McCain was also right when he said Barack Obama is insensitive to poor people; Obama wants to work hand-in-hand with Republicans like McCain, and we all know how compassionate the GOP has been to the poor.
